Firstly, please try the following solutions:

  • Perform a clean installation of drivers (GeForce drivers; AMD drivers; Intel drivers) - one that removes the previous version of the drivers.
  • Don't overclock your GPU. If your GPU is overclocked, reset it to default settings. Sometimes, graphic cards come factory-overclocked and it is necessary to reset them manually.
  • Disable the Turbo Mode in the UEFI BIOS Utility.
  • Make sure your GPU is not undervolted.
  • Update your Windows.
  • Validate game files on your platform (Steam, Epic Games StoreGOG).
  • Lower the Graphics Quality in the game's Options.
  • Turn V-Sync off in the game's Options.
  • Lower Max. FPS in the game's Options.
  • Disable Complex Effects in the game's Options.
  • Change Screen Mode to Maximized Window or Windowed in the game's Options.
  • Allow "Unity Playback Engine" and "against the Storm.exe" through your firewall.
  • Check your GPU Control Panel for settings that may stress your PC (and/or restore to defaults).
  • Turn off external applications: 'Instant Replay' in GeForce Experience, Nvidia Ansel, MSI Afterburner, ASUS GPU Tweak.

  • Unplug unnecessary input devices such as tablets, VR sets, steering wheels, HOTAS, etc.
  • Disable virtual joysticks or virtual input devices (such as vJoy, antimicro, JoyToKey, Hotkeyz, Input Mapper, or similar).
